About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our team on a flexible part-time contract basis. This role is ideal for a professional who has previously worked as a Paraplanner, Financial Adviser, or Financial Planner, and is comfortable delivering high-quality technical and client-facing support without the need for close supervision.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of our advice process, supporting advisers across complex client scenarios. You will also help refine our workflows and best practices to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical & Advice Support
- Draft and prepare detailed financial planning reports, including suitability letters, cashflow analyses, and technical summaries.
- Conduct technical research across tax, pensions, investments, insurance, and estate planning.
- Analyse and compare products, platforms, and providers to support adviser recommendations.
- Prepare client meeting packs and post-meeting action notes.
- Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all recommendations meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Review adviser files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on taxation, investments, pensions, and cross-border planning relevant to our client base.
- Process & Workflow
- Contribute to best practice guidance and template improvements.
- Suggest process enhancements to improve efficiency in the paraplanning function.
- Liaise with compliance and operations teams to ensure smooth workflow between advice and implementation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience in a Paraplanner, Financial Planner, or Financial Adviser role.
- Strong understanding of investment products, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax strategies.
- Proven experience with cashflow modelling software (e.g., Voyant, Truth, CashCalc, or similar).
- Confident in writing high-quality reports that are clear, accurate, and client-friendly.
- Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex cases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong IT skills, ideally with experience in [list your software: e.g., Voyant, Xplan, Zoho CRM].
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (e.g., Chartered Insurance Institute, CISI, FPSB, or equivalent).
- Chartered or Certified status preferred but not essential.
- Experience in cross-border financial planning, with knowledge of planning in Australia and the UK an advantage.

Contract Details
- Hours: 15–25 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
- Location: Remote / out-of-office welcome; occasional in-office meetings if feasible.
- Contract Term: 6–12 months with possible renewal.
- Rate: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
