[What the role is]
The Temasek LEADership Programme (Temasek LEAD) is an inclusive talent development initiative for promising students. You will be part of a team comprising values-driven educators and trainers who are committed to developing and maximizing the students' potential.[What you will be working on]
- Curate, implement, and evaluate co-curricular and leadership development programmes, including local and overseas trips, to foster holistic student growth.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as industry partners, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organisations, to enhance leadership development programmes and expand student opportunities. • Manage the PSC Scholarships Exercise, including student nomination and selection, organising coaching sessions and enrichment workshops, and coordinating with the Public Service Commission and stakeholders.
- Administer all aspects of programme operations, including student outreach and recruitment, selection processes, logistics coordination, attendance management, and procurement of external resources or contracts, to ensure effective delivery.
- Review and refine existing co-curricular and leadership development programmes based on feedback and emerging trends to maintain relevance and impact.
- Supervise, mentor, and empower students in planning and executing student-led initiatives to develop their leadership skills and drive campus vibrancy where some of these activities may occur outside of office hours and weekends.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including risk management, in all student development activities.
- Travel with students on overseas trips.
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in student leadership development and/or organising leadership programmes for students.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience in coaching or mentoring students.
- Able to plan and execute events or projects, manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, and ensure accurate administration and continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to engage students, staff, and external partners effectively.
- Able to travel overseas and work on weekends and after office hours.
- Keen interest to stay updated with the latest trends in student development, leadership education, and youth engagement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of digital tools for communication, event publicity, and data-analysis, including social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Telegram), graphic design applications (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office), is preferred.
