Senior Maintenance Technician (Mechanical)
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Work location: 1 Woodlands Avenue 8
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will support production operations by conducting maintenance and troubleshooting activities on equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
Main Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production and utility equipment such as pumps, agitators, valves, and homogenizers to ensure user operations are validated and downtime is minimized.

Assess and prioritise the criticality of production and the availability of equipment.

Collaborate with engineers to establish a maintenance plan that includes both preventive and predictive measures for production/utility equipment.

Identify and estimate the necessary resources (workforce, materials, and time) for upcoming or planned maintenance activities.

Assist engineers with troubleshooting equipment issues, enhancing performance, and setting up production lines

Support engineers in improving and monitoring equipment performance to optimize functionality.

Troubleshoot and safely repair mechanical equipment.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment maintenance and repairs.

Identify deficiencies in quality and quantity in daily tasks and propose improvements.

Provide support for and respond to daily ad hoc maintenance requests.

Monitor equipment spare parts and collaborate with the maintenance engineer to replenish them.

Respond to after office hours calls from users for equipment breakdown repairs.

Plan, organize, and oversee work performed by both in-house and external contractors engaged in maintenance tasks.

Familiarise yourself with safety policies and guide external contractors on site requirements.

Be the authorised applicant for permits to work.

Maintain accurate records of all relevant data related to tasks in SAP.

Ensure all site activities align with accreditation standards within the scope of the Quality Management System (QMS) [ISO 9001 & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)].
Main Requirements
-
NTC/ITC/Diploma in Mechanical background
-
6 to 8 years of experience in maintenance
-
Preferably with experience in Food or Pharmaceutical or Chemical Industries
-
Hands-on experience in repairing pump, mixers and any rotating equipment
Familiar with SAP Plant Maintenance function (module)

Able to interpret P&ID and mechanical drawings
-
Willling to work shift hours
