Senior Research Assistant (Psychology and Child & Human Development Department)[NIE]

The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 12-month contract at the Psychology and Child and Human Development Department, with the possibility of renewable for another 12 months, given good performance.

Project Title: Youth Mental Health

Project Introduction: The series of projects aim to investigate factors that influence stress and coping in youth in this era of climate change challenges and social media influences. The main responsibility of the Research Assistant in this position is conducting systematic literature review and contributing extensively to report writing. Hence, having experience and skills in systematic reviews will be advantageous. Other responsibilities include supporting the implementation of projects using various psychological research methods, including online surveys and intervention trials. The Research Assistant will work in a team and gain valuable competencies in psychological research and methods.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from a reputable university
• Relevant research experience, especially literature review and proposal writing
• Excellent writing skills with experience with publications
• Ability to use online survey programs, such as Qualtrics, as well as statistical analysis programs, such as SPSS
• Ability to be proactive and work independently
• Good interpersonal skills and collaborate well in a research team

Responsibilities:

• Conduct systematic literature reviews
• Contribute to report writing
• Support implementation of a range of projects, including recruitment of participants, administration of online surveys, psychological assessment (including interviews), and facilitating prevention/intervention programs
• Maintain survey datasets and data management systems
• Behavioral coding of data and data-entry
• Analyze data and report results
• Provide administrative and report-writing support for projects
• Support student projects
• Other research tasks assigned by the PI
