Job Summary:
As an Aviation Engineer/Planner, you will play a vital role in airport master planning feasibility studies and designing airport-related buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be passionate and motivated to work in aviation consultancy, and will have a background in engineering, proficiency with tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, CAST and AviPLAN, and can support to create precise technical drawings for airside infrastructure and building engineering works in airports.
As an Aviation Engineer/Planner, you will play a vital role in airport master planning feasibility studies and designing airport-related buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be passionate and motivated to work in aviation consultancy, and will have a background in engineering, proficiency with tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, CAST and AviPLAN, and can support to create precise technical drawings for airside infrastructure and building engineering works in airports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand client requirements in airport development projects covering various stages of development from advisory services, design consultancy, operations and execution.
- Contribute to various feasibility studies in the master planning stage, aviation commercial and economic development studies, demand forecasting for passengers & cargo, airport & airspace capacity studies, technical planning studies for airside and terminal operations.
- Understand aviation regulations, both international and the governing national regulations, wherever the project requires.
- Support to develop and update drawings using software tools such as Revit or AutoCAD.
- Support the design airfield geometry and markings using AviPLAN.
- Support analysis and data visualisation using tools such as CAST, Power BI, and Excel, drawing insights from large data sets.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure designs meet all project requirements and comply with aviation regulations.
- Prepare professional client-facing materials, such as presentation decks and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in aviation sector such as airline, airport or ground handler.
- Strong understanding of airport planning and design aspects
- Proficiency in tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, CAST, GIS and AviPLAN is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Python.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially in design work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, combined with presentation and communication skills.
- Team-oriented attitude but with a strong ability to work independently on various tasks as part of the project team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
