Responsibilities:
1. IVF Nursing Duties:
- Assist in coordinating patient IVF cycles, including stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and follow-up.
- Educate patients on fertility medications, procedures, self-injections, and expected outcomes.
- Monitor patient response through blood tests, ultrasound scans, and symptom assessments.
- Assist doctors during ultrasound scans, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), egg collection (OPU), and embryo transfer (ET).
- Ensure documentation complies with Singapore’s Assisted Reproduction regulatory requirements (e.g., ART Licensing Terms & Conditions by MOH).
2. O&G Clinical Support:
- Support O&G consultations by preparing patients for examinations and minor procedures.
- Assist with prenatal screenings, CTG monitoring, Pap smears, IUD and other gynaecological services.
- Monitor antenatal patients and educate them on prenatal care and postnatal recovery.
- Identify and escalate complications during pregnancy or fertility treatment to physicians promptly.
3. Administrative & Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date and confidential patient records in line with PDPA and MOH guidelines.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and dispensary of medications
- Participate in patient counselling sessions and ensure informed consent is obtained.
- Comply with infection control standards, cold chain management (for medication storage), and clinical safety protocols.
4. Patient Communication & Emotional Support:
- Act as a liaison between patients and clinical team for scheduling, results interpretation, and follow-ups.
- Deliver patient education material and answer queries in a clear, respectful, empathetic manner.
- Able to conduct counselling effectively such as Fertility counselling and Financial counselling.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license.
- At least 2 years’ experience in women’s health , preferably in IVF or O&G.
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Knowledge of Singapore MOH regulations on ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) and infection control.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR- Plato)
Preferred Skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous IVF Nursing experience preferred.
- Attention to detail, especially for time-sensitive procedures (e.g., medication timing, ovulation monitoring).
- Team player with willingness to work early shifts, including some Sundays and public holidays.
Clinic Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm
- Saturday: 8am to 1pm
- Closed for Sunday/ Public Holidays
