Job Description
- Carry out general repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, and minor fixes.
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing work (e.g., lights, sockets, leaks, clogs).
- Use electrical measurement and testing equipment (e.g, multimeters, clamp meters) to assist in troubleshooting.
- Assist in troubleshooting and minor repair of equipment.
- Support the upkeep of ACMV systems, generators, and other building facilities.
- Escort and oversee external vendors during onsite maintenance or servicing works.
- Conduct routine walkabouts and safety checks to identify potential hazards or issues.
- Provide operational support for events setup and assist other departments when required.
- Respond to urgent repair requests and participate in after-hours standby duty on a rotational basis. Maintain accurate records of repair works, inspections, and safety compliance.
Job Specification
- Minimum NITEC in Engineering (Mechanical & Electrical, Building Services, Facility Management, or equivalent).
- At least 2 years experience in general maintenance, handyman, or facility technician work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
- Familiarity with workplace safety standards and compliance.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work (e.g., lifting, climbing, prolonged standing).
- Professional, respectful attitude, especially when interacting with elderly residents and staff.
- Willingness to join the after-hours standby duty roster.
- Working Hours : 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (Monday to Friday) and 8.30 am to 12.30 pm (Saturday)
