Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite marine cargo insurance risks in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite.
- Analyze submissions, pricing, and coverage terms to develop tailored solutions for brokers and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and other market partners.
- Monitor portfolio performance and profitability, making data-driven decisions to manage risk exposure.
- Contribute to product development and support strategic initiatives within the Marine division. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and developments in marine cargo and logistics sectors.
Requirements:
- Basic Degree/Diploma in Business or Maritime with CGI
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Marine insurance underwriting with direct intermediary engagement / technical underwriting.
- Knowledge of Marine insurance operations, underwriting procedures and understanding in Marine Cargo classes, products and policy wordings. Understanding of risk assessment, laws and legislation in relation to the marine insurance industry.
