Job Description
- Develop and implement Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) procedures in line with company policies and legal requirements
- Prepare and approve Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Letter of Appointment (LOA) for all site employees
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance
- Investigate workplace incidents/accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective and preventive measures
- Deliver safety training and provide guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on site protocols
- Maintain accurate records of safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance tracking
- Liaise with security personnel to coordinate site safety and security measures
- Coordinate with subcontractors to set up and maintain CCTVs and other monitoring systems in compliance with regulations
- Communicate with medical centers on the injured persons' (IP) status and care
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local WSH laws and requirements
- Attend internal coordination meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
- Participate in daily toolbox and pre-start meetings to promote safety awareness
- Assess risks and develop safe work procedures (SWP)
- Check and maintain all safety documents and materials for meetings, training, and audits
- Plan and execute safety campaigns, events, and promotional activities to enhance safety culture
- Monitor and report the implementation of safety controls, hazards, and safety violations
- Maintain and report project man-hours to relevant government authorities
- Assist in preparing Risk Assessments (RA) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Prepare documentation for safety award applications such as WSH SHARP and ROSPA Awards
- Advise and follow up with site teams on necessary safety improvements and corrective actions
- Ensure project teams comply with established safety standards and project-specific safety plans
- Prepare and submit monthly safety performance reports Ensure all activities are in accordance with company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) and Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) certification (Singapore) or equivalent recognised certification
- Minimum five (5) years proven experience who are familiar with safety specifications/requirements
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements
- Well-versed in Workplace Safety & Health Act and its subsidiary legislation
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
- Working location at project site office, 21 Jalan Buroh
- 5.5 working days
- Short notice period or can immediately onboard will be an advantage
