Job Scope
- Conduct abacus lessons for children aged 3 to 16 years old
- Teach, guide, and manage a class size of maximum 12 children
- Keep the children engaged and ensure effective learning, helping them to progress through the various levels
- Provide feedback to and communicate with parents on children’s progress in class
- Responsible for administrative tasks which include, and are not limited to:
- Preparing month-end stock reports and replenish stock as and when required
- Preparing attendance lists and monthly reports
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Strong organisational skills, attention to details
- Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment
Requirements
- Passionate in educating and developing children through abacus training
- Demonstrates clarity in communication, strong ability and interest to learn and pick up new skills
- Comes with good energy that keeps the children engaged throughout their lessons
- Build in creativity into teaching, allowing children to learn in a fun manner
- Demonstrates proactiveness, and takes initiatives to engage with the parents to provide updates on the child’s progress in learning
- Has a keen eye for details, is organized, and equipped with a strong sense of responsibility
- Possess basic knowledge in the use of computer and Microsoft applications
- A strong team player who is highly collaborative and ethical
Educational Background
- Prior experience in education sector, or teaching abacus and mental arithmetic methodologies to children is an added advantage
- A level (equivalent to STPM in Malaysia), or diploma qualification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,300.00 per month
