We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely invoicing, and supporting inventory and stock-taking activities. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and capable of handling accounting operations in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue sales invoices accurately and promptly
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting
- Perform regular stock-taking activities and reconcile inventory records
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and filing systems
- Support internal audits and compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams for inventory tracking and billing accuracy
- Handle data entry, petty cash, and basic bookkeeping
- Ensure proper documentation of all accounting transactions Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Finance Manager
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SQL, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Knowledge of inventory control processes is an advantage
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong sense of responsibility and integrity
