Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Assistant Accountant / Accountant to join our growing finance team. You will support day-to-day financial operations and assist in ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Involvement in accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Handle bank reconciliations and general ledger account reviews.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and audit schedules.
• Maintain accurate and organised accounting schedules, financial records and documentation.
• Assist in GST reporting and other statutory filings (e.g., IRAS submissions).
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and internal departments where necessary.
• Maintain fixed asset register and assist in depreciation calculations.
• Support the implementation of process improvements in the finance function.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Advanced Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant working experience in either accounting or audit.
• Candidates with audit experience are welcome to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software.
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and tax/GST requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible, resourceful, and able to multi-task while staying focused on key priorities.
