- 3–5 years of proven experience in HR operations, employee relations, and union engagement.
- Team and people management experience
- Full spectrum HR function supporting company staff strength of ~300
- Good knowledge of MOM guidelines and Employment Laws
- Labour Union experience would be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
- Strategic thinker who is meticulous, self-motivated, and resilient to change.
- Demonstrates high integrity in handling sensitive information and supports senior leadership with sound HR advice. Forward-looking mindset with a passion for driving innovative, people-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for full spectrum HR function with staff strength ~300 looking after the following:
- Competent in full spectrum of HR duties and responsibilities.
- Oversee the HR team and implement HR initiatives including human capital, people management, talent management, succession planning, performance management, compensation and staff benefits.
- Design and structure programs, policies, and procedures to ensure existing HR practices comply with the Employment legislation.
- Liaison between Union and Management
- Manage employee relations, employee engagement activities, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.
- Develop and execute forward-thinking HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, cultivating a high-performance culture and boosting employee engagement.
- Lead and manage core HR functions including recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, and learning & development .
- Formulate, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and reflect best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on complex employee matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, and employment law compliance.
- Partner closely with Department Heads to forecast workforce needs and design effective recruitment and retention programs.
- Position the organization as an employer of choice by enhancing employer branding and talent experience.
- Champion initiatives that support employee well-being, mental health, and work-life balance.
- Collaborate with Management to design and oversee the HR budget and resource allocation.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making at the leadership level.
- Keep pace with evolving HR trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, driving continuous improvement across HR and administrative functions. Engage with Union representatives and play a key role in Collective Agreement negotiations, ensuring fair outcomes and strong labor relations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent / Candidates with proven experience may applyOther Information
