Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre (CoNiC) is one of NTU’s shared strategic research facilities servicing the whole NTU research community and focusing on the exploration of the human brain's structure and functions, with special regard to its normal and pathological cognitive functions. It is in Experimental Medicine Building (EMB) on the main NTU Campus. CoNiC is equipped with state-of-the-art neuroimaging and brain monitoring modalities, including a Siemens Prisma 3T MR scanner, a Siemens 0T MR scanner (a mock scanner), an Elekta Triux MEG scanner as well as EEG, fNIRS and other neuroimaging modalities.
CoNiC is a neuroimaging facility which has stationed state-of-the-art neuroimaging equipment such as MRI, MEG, EEG, TMS and fNIRS with the mission of providing neuroimaging solutions to several projects both within NTU and other institutions in Singapore. We seek an ideal candidate to facilitate the efficient operation of CoNiC. This role involves managing equipment bookings, rescheduling as needed, coordinating logistics for training and events, maintaining scan databases, tracking billing and payment schedules, assisting in participant recruitment, procuring regular consumables and scheduling stakeholder meetings. The Assistant Manager is instrumental in ensuring smooth operations at the ground level and supporting the Assistant Director in advancing neuroimaging studies and research at CoNiC.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with users to schedule MRI, MEG, fNIRS, TMS and EEG sessions.
- Assist with rescheduling appointments when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director to organise and manage training, workshops and seminars.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all scans conducted at the centre.
- Provide necessary information to facilitate billing processes.
- Track payment schedules and ensure timely payments from users.
- Assist in recruiting human participants for various neuroimaging studies.
- Compile a list of consumables needed on a regular basis and obtain quotations to facilitate procurement.
- Schedule meetings with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide assistance to participants preparing for EEG, fNIRS, and MEG studies.
- Assist with the setup of various neuroimaging equipment.
Job requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Experience in participant recruitment and administrative work is advantageous, but fresh graduates are welcome as training will be provided.
- Competence in providing excellent customer service to users and research participants, including managing expectations, addressing concerns and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
- Demonstrated ability to step up to the role quickly and adapt to different situations.
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communications, as well as the use of MS Office applications, is essential.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
