Join our dynamic team at Singapore Motors as an Assistant Finance Manager (Accounting), where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance, accuracy, and strategic support.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with accuracy and timeliness.
- Review trial balances, journals, reconciliations, and bank statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Support external and internal audits, including statutory accounts and XBRL filings.
- Manage GST submissions and corporate tax computations.
- Implement and enhance internal controls and accounting practices.
- Collaborate with shared services and operations for financial clarity and guidance.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and insurance coordination.
- Prepare/review Sales & Purchasing Commission, Insurance, and Finance Commission for payroll
- Prepare/review payroll journals
- Provide advice, guidelines, and instructions to the shared services centre and operations on new issues / clarify current practices
- Preparation and finalization of the budget and forecasts
- Assist the reporting team in formulating budgets and forecasts
- Review and coordinate insurance coverage of the company’s assets
- Work with IT to test and implement finance-related systems and interfaces.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent (e.g., ACCA).
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
