This role will assist in performing an independent/objective assurance reviews by performing internal audits.
Responsibilities:
- To conduct risk-based audits that may include the following:
- Demonstrate leadership qualities in carrying out risk-based audit engagements
- Perform risk assessment of assigned audit area
- Determine scope of review in conjunction with the Head of Internal Audit
- Establish risk-based audit programs
- Review design and effectiveness of internal controls
- Lead, supervise audit team and conduct audits in assigned areas of responsibility
- Prepare and / or perform quality review of audit work papers i.e. sufficiently complete, detailed and accurate to ascertain the audit work done and to support conclusions reached
- Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues and improvement areas
- Determine compliance with policies and procedures
- Communicate findings to senior management and draft comprehensive and complete audit issues
Requirements:
- More than 3 years of audit experience in Big 4 accounting firms preferred
- Degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- ACCA, CPA, CIA Certification preferred
- Industry knowledge would be a plus
- Good written/verbal communication skills, in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates)
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with people and understanding human relations
- Willingness to travel
- Good analytical skills to detect control weaknesses
- Have good knowledge of audit standards/technical skills/ methodologies/ tools
- Have good knowledge of accounting principles
- Have good information on technology risks & controls
- Possess knowledge of fundamentals of business subjects (commercial laws, economics, finance, risk management, fraud, and MIS)
- Experience in supervising staff and managing client accounts
- Possess good project management skills
- Possess leadership skills and the ability to manage teams
- Good conflict management skills
