About the Role
As an Assistant Nurse Clinician , you will work closely with the Nurse/Care Manager to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality nursing care in accordance with established hospital policies, professional standards, and clinical practices. This role requires enhanced levels of clinical competence, sound decision-making, and strong critical thinking skills to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and team members. Key Responsibilities
- Implement patient care plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) according to assessed needs and health conditions.
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges; ensure timely discharge planning upon admission.
- Monitor patients’ progress and evaluate readiness for discharge.
- Recognise early signs of clinical deterioration and escalate appropriately for timely interventions.
- Participate actively in MDT rounds and execute physicians’ treatment and investigation orders.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and treatments.
- Communicate patients’ progress and response to treatment with the MDT.
- Deliver patient and family education on disease progression, prevention, and rehabilitation.
- Guide and support nursing teams in addressing clinical, operational, or patient-related issues.
- Monitor infection control practices and recommend improvements.
- Plan and implement in-service training for nurses and students to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Supervise clinical performance of new nurses and students, providing constructive feedback.
- Act as a clinical resource in areas such as medical equipment, EMR systems, workflows, and emergency/crisis management.
- Support new initiatives and lead nursing-related change projects in collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Advanced Diploma/Diploma in Nursing and/or Bachelor in Nursing.
- Valid practicing license with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) .
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Senior Staff Nurse I (SSN I) in a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Good understanding of clinical workflows in Community Hospital and Long-Term Care settings.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.45pm
- Competitive salary of up to $8,500/month (x13 months)
- Performance bonus (typically one month, paid in July)
- Variable bonuses (paid in September and December) Nurse special payment
