Location : Central Singapore
Job description and responsibilities:
- Prepare savoury pies (doughs, fillings, baking), canapés, and other pastry-related items.
- Cook to order/light prep of pastas and meats; season, cook, rest, and plate to spec.
- Maintain mise en place and par levels for pastry and hot line.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards; conduct taste/texture checks.
- Uphold strict hygiene, temperature logs, and allergen/labeling practices.
- Clean as you go; complete opening/closing and deep-clean tasks; care for equipment.
- Jump on bar/coffee station, run food, take orders, and assist with basic cashiering when required.
- Communicate clearly with FOH for smooth service and timely ticket times.
- Receive/rotate stock (FIFO), track usage, and help minimise waste.
Job requirements:
- Experience in a café/bakery or bistro kitchen (pastry + simple hot line) preferred; keen learners welcome.
- Confident with: basic pastry production, savoury prep, knife skills, and short-order cooking.
- Barista/service experience is a plus (we’ll train if needed).
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment; strong teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
- Able to stand for long periods.
- Food hygiene: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain promptly)..
Full Time Salary: Starting from $2200.
Entry level to 1 year experience.
5.5 days work week. 44 hours work week.
