Job Title:

Car Spray Painter (Automotive Refinisher)

Job Purpose:

To prepare and spray-paint vehicles and automotive parts to restore them to original condition or as per customer specifications, ensuring high-quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning.
• Mix paint to match vehicle color using computerized paint-matching systems.
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat using spray-painting equipment.
• Inspect completed work for quality, ensuring smooth, even finishes.
• Perform minor repairs such as filling dents or scratches before painting.
• Maintain spray booth, tools, and equipment in good condition.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations during the painting process.
• Record paint usage, job details, and maintain work order documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors and other workshop staff regarding job progress.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a spray painter in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of different paint types, application techniques, and refinishing methods.
• Ability to match colors accurately and achieve consistent finishes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in a workshop environment.
• Certification in Automotive Spray Painting (preferred).
