We are seeking a driven and analytical Category Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in evaluating product performance and helping shape a profitable and customer-focused product assortment. You will analyse sales data, monitor market trends, and collaborate across departments to ensure the right products are promoted, priced, and positioned effectively. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who is passionate about data-driven decision-making and product strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse Product Performance:
Evaluate sales data and profitability metrics to determine which products and categories contribute the most to revenue and margin. - Identify Opportunities:
Spot trends, gaps, and opportunities within the current product assortment using customer insights, competitor research, and performance analytics. - Support Category Strategy:
Assist in the development and execution of category plans, including pricing, promotions, and lifecycle management of products. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Work with the marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to align product strategies with business goals. - Report & Present Insights:
Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and visual presentations of category performance and product profitability. - Optimize Inventory Mix:
Monitor stock levels, turnover rates, and product lifecycle stages to help improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
- No prior experience required — strong willingness to learn and grow is essential
- Analytical mindset and comfort working with numbers and data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, basic formulas, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Curiosity about market trends, consumer behaviour, and product performance
Working Location : East - Airline House - Next to Singapore Airlines HQ
Working hours : Monday – Friday office hours
