Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
Develop and implement financial strategies to support land acquisition, development projects, and long-term business growth.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board on project viability, capital allocation, and ROI.
Lead financial modelling and feasibility analysis for new developments and joint ventures.
2. Project Financing & Capital Management
Structure and secure financing for property development projects, including debt, equity, and joint ventures.
Manage lender relationships and ensure compliance with loan covenants and drawdown schedules.
Oversee capital budgeting, cost control, and funding allocation across multiple projects.
3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance tracking for development projects and operating units.
Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis to support project decision-making.
Monitor project profitability and cash flow projections.
4. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across group entities.
Oversee accounting operations, audit processes, tax planning, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
5. Risk Management & Internal Controls
Develop financial controls and risk mitigation strategies for development activities, contracts, and investments.
Ensure governance over project-related spending, procurement, and subcontractor payments.
6. Investor & Stakeholder Relations
Support fundraising efforts and investor communications with banks, PE firms, and strategic partners.
Prepare board reports, investment presentations, and performance dashboards for stakeholders.
7. Team Leadership
Lead the finance, treasury, and accounting teams.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with project, legal, and commercial teams to support execution of developments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience in Malaysia and Indonesia operations is highly desirable.
Chartered Accountant (CA) with membership under the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), Singapore CA Qualification (SCA), or equivalent professional certification.
Minimum 10 years of experience in senior finance roles, with at least 3–5 years in a CFO or project finance leadership capacity.
Strong background in property development, real estate investment, or construction industry.
Proven track record in project financing, capital structuring, and risk management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Bilingual in English and Chinese (spoken and written) is an advantage.
