Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Commercial Divers to join our dynamic diving operations team. The selected candidates will be involved in inland underwater activities such as hull inspection, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, and other related maintenance tasks for ships and offshore vessels. These operations are to be carried out in full compliance with SS511: Code of Practice for Diving at Work, as well as the company’s safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inland underwater operations including:
- Hull inspections
- Hull cleaning using brush carts
- Propeller polishing
- Blanking and other vessel-related tasks
- Operate underwater equipment such as CCTV systems, still/digital photography gear, and other inspection tools
- Ensure all diving equipment and machinery are properly maintained, serviceable, and meet compliance standards
- Assist in diving boat operations including mooring, routine cleaning, and equipment setup
- Report any equipment defects, malfunctions, or medical concerns immediately to the Diving Supervisor
- Serve as standby diver or provide assistance in the training of junior divers and dive tenders
- Maintain accurate records and analyze diving equipment reports to ensure they meet Company, WSH, IMCA, and SS511 standards
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and safe diving procedures
- Comply with all worksite safety rules, WSH regulations, and technical authority (TA) procedures
Requirements:
- Possess valid Commercial Diving certification approved by WSHC/CDAS or equivalent to IMCA SSDE standards
- Hold a valid Occupational First Aid Certificate
- Possess a current and approved Diving Medical Certificate
- Proven understanding of and experience with SS511: Code of Practice for Diving at Work
- Physically fit and medically certified as fit for diving duties
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions from Diving Supervisors/Lead Divers
- Able to work night shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays as required
- Team player with a positive attitude, discipline, and a safety-first mindset
- Fluent in spoken and written English
