CONSTRUCTION CARPENTER

Job Title: Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials and is proficient in using hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood or other materials.
• Build frameworks, including walls, floors, doors, and windows.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, staircases, and molding.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
• Operate tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and nail guns.
• Ensure work complies with local building codes and health and safety regulations.
• Work with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related field.
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
