We are seeking a highly skilled Editor with a strong journalistic background who excels in creating innovative, engaging, and impactful editorial content. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to craft content that resonates with readers, drives high engagement, and maximizes readership through creative and multi-platform storytelling.
You are responsible for:
- Creative Content Creation:
- Develop compelling editorial pieces that simplify complex health topics, driving reader interest and engagement. Leverage various content formats (articles, multimedia, infographics, etc.) to maximize reach.
- Audience Engagement:
- Produce content designed to engage and retain readers, with a focus on increasing social media interaction and page views. Use creative approaches to tell stories that inspire action and discussion.
- Content Strategy & Development:
- Collaborate with the content team to develop and execute editorial strategies that align with audience interests and health trends. Ensure content is shareable, searchable, and optimized for digital platforms.
- Collaboration:
- Work with designers, expert contributors and other teams to create a cohesive content experience across all digital channels.
You will need:
- More than 5 years of experience in digital media, editorial or journalism, preferably in health or wellness.
- Proven ability to create creative, high-impact editorial content that drives readership.
- Strong understanding of digital engagement strategies, SEO, and analytics
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and impact
- Creative thinker with a passion for health topics and storytelling
- Bachelor’s in Journalism, Communications, Public Health, or related fields
You will have an edge over other candidates with:
- Multimedia content creation skills (e.g., video, podcasts).
- Experience in collaboration with healthcare professionals for authoritative content.
- Familiarity in digital storytelling and healthcare marketing.
Personality-wise, we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- Detail-oriented with a high level of editorial precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to stay organised and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with medical and health regulations, including HIPAA, FDA guidelines, and other relevant standards.
