Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a love for the English language through engaging lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
The teacher will design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons, support individual learning needs, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Beyond academics, the teacher will inspire students to develop strong communication skills and confidence in expressing themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Actively participate in internal staff sessions to share feedback and contribute to the continual improvement of the school's curriculum.
- Teach reading, writing, speaking, listening, and conversational English effectively to students of varying abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
- Differentiate lessons to cater to individual student learning needs (after school classes)
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, curiosity, and collaboration.
- Support school events, extracurricular activities, and enrichment programs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
- Provide constructive and personalized feedback in the form of student feedback reports on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or related field
- Recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
- Proven teaching experience, preferably in an international or multicultural school environment.
- Fluency in English – reading, writing, speaking, and conversational.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles and abilities.
- Ability to conduct teaching in the digital format. Passionate about education and committed to student growth.
Bonus Qualifications (Added Advantage):
- Native English speakers are highly preferred.
- Ability to converse in additional languages (such as Chinese, Japanese, French, German, or Spanish).
- Experience with inquiry-based learning, student-centered pedagogy, or international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB).
