Responsibilities
1. Sales Generation & Client Outreach
- Identify, pursue, and secure new corporate and individual clients to rapidly grow the sales pipeline.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and deliver persuasive sales proposals and quotations to close deals swiftly.
- Upsell premium food and beverage packages, add-ons, and catering upgrades to maximize revenue per client.
- Proactively generate leads through cold calls, networking, trade shows, and marketing events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure repeat and referral business.
- Respond swiftly to enquiries and follow up relentlessly until deals are closed.
2. Event Coordination
- Coordinate closely with kitchen, delivery/logistics teams, and third-party vendors (e.g., equipment rental, decorators) to ensure smooth and timely catering service.
- Manage event timelines, setup, and food service flow to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Conduct thorough pre-event and post-event briefings with internal teams and clients to confirm details and resolve any issues.
3. Client Management & Retention
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to generate repeat business and future catering opportunities.
- Handle last-minute changes or urgent client requests professionally and calmly, turning challenges into opportunities.
- Gather and analyze client feedback after events to continuously improve service quality and client satisfaction.
- Develop and focus on Enterprise and Singapore Government key accounts.
Requirements
- Diploma in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field, with at least 2 years’ experience in event sales, catering, or hospitality.
- Prior experience in sales or catering roles is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Strong networking and client relationship management skills, with experience handling corporate and government accounts preferred.
- Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple events/projects under tight deadlines.
