[What the role is]
The Waste infrastructure Operations and Management Division (WIOMD) oversees the operation and maintenance of all NEA waste management infrastructure. WIOMD also manages privately-operated waste-to-energy (WTE) plants under Public Private Partnership (PPP) schemes.[What you will be working on]
You will work as an Operations engineer in Tuas South Incineration Plant to ensure the plant and its auxiliary equipment are operating smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the following:
- Lead and manage a shift group of technical officers and contract operators on the safe and efficient operation of the plant as well as frontline maintenance of the incineration plant
- Assist the Principal Engineer in the formulation, preparation and revision of standard operating and safety procedures, equipment testing/changeover programmes and plant emergencies
- Optimise plant processes such as refuse incineration, power generation and scrap metal recovery
- Administer contracts for the operation and maintenance of Plant equipment and services
- Enforce permit-to-work system and safe work culture including supervising contractors’ work for quality and safety
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
[What we are looking for]
At least Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent field
Preferably with 3-5 years of relevant experience in process/power plant engineering. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Candidates with professional certification e.g. Steam Engineer, Boiler Attendant or Licenced Electrical Worker (LEW) will be an added advantage.
