The Finance and Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role involves managing the accounting team, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a full set of accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Prepare management and statutory financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management review and audit purposes.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, IFRS, tax regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Assist with tax filings by preparing and providing required documentation for corporate tax and GST.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and general ledger maintenance.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Report directly to the CFO.
- Oversee Human Resources and General Administration functions.
- Assist with any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience overseeing an Accounting/Finance department or in a similar role.
- Experience with IPOs or working in an SGX-listed company is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCount accounting software and advanced Excel skills is a plus.
- Proficiency in InfoTech HR software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter, independent contributor, and team player.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm or 9am-6pm
