We are currently recruiting for a Finance Partner for our Southeast Asia & Taiwan (SEAT) Business Unit (BU), to be based in Singapore. The Finance Partner has overall responsibilities for all financial planning and performance of the markets and is responsible for being the key link between the in-market team & the Hubs as well as understanding all actual & plan information and providing strong support to the SEAT BU Senior Finance Director (FD).
This role is responsible for consolidating end-to-end full P&L for both actuals & plan and understanding the link between actual & plan, driving performance and financial targets delivery. The role assists the BU Senior FD with Business Partnering activities for senior stakeholders and provides additional assurance to the BU Senior FD for the P&L, BS, Plan & Statutory results.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership to strategic decision making at SEAT BU level to maximize the operation results
- Lead together with the SEAT BU Senior FD and 6 market FDs the formulation of long-term strategic plans and performance management: ensure local management are provided with a complete and reliable flow of financial information, develop right internal and external benchmarks
- Lead C&C hub to complete monthly financial closing and reporting, performance reviews and SOX tests
- Lead P&F hub to perform all Planning & Forecasting activities (CMF, LRP, MPR, etc.)
- Identify opportunities and raise challenges to meet business objectives/ financial targets and mitigate risks
- Drive business accountability to improve cost and cash discipline
- Improve working capital, control capital expenditure and monitor OE spending; Optimize cash on hand
- Provide partnering to commercial support functions and GSF with sound advice on actual situation, opportunities and challenges
- Assess and drive cross-market decisions/initiatives (e.g. HC hiring, cost-saving activities, channel stock)
- Adopt a flexible and proactive approach to analyze and address ad-hoc urgent request
Risk Management and Controls:
- Play an active decision-making role to ensure that financial results are optimized in accordance with ethical and group standards
- Proactive approach to risk management, anticipate key business and compliance risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans in coordination with local or regional teams Provide perspective on the status of financial processes, services and controls
- Lead changes in business process required to support the continuous standardization and simplification of company processes
Organizational Leadership:
- Support talent development program across SEAT finance organization
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent with approximately 15 years of MNC commercial finance working experience
- Combined consumer goods knowledge and the pharmaceutical patient perspective with strong technical finance partnering skills
- Advanced numeracy, accuracy & excellent attention to details
- Working knowledge of accounting, budgeting and forecasting principles
- Demonstrated strategic, leadership skills and people development record
- Proven ability to work under pressure against tight and changing deadlines and prioritizing work and delivery
- Ability to effectively influence commercial and finance partners with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, challenges and questions how things are done to drive for results and provides range of options
- Ability to lead diversified teams in hubs and Markets/LOCs
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Strong verbal, written communication skills in English
