Role Overview
We have partnered with a Tier-1 global asset manager in Singapore looking to hire a G10 Rates & FX Strategist.
The successful candidate will be embedded within the DM Rates desk and play a central role in delivering macroeconomic insights, generating trade ideas, and enhancing the research process that underpins trading and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, and sovereign fundamentals to support investment decisions in global fixed income markets
- Generate actionable rates & fx strategy views and contribute to trade idea generation aligned with the firm’s global macro positioning
- Build and maintain models that forecast interest rate dynamics, assess policy shifts, and interpret yield curve movements
- Partner with portfolio managers and traders to communicate strategy views and align macro inputs with trading objectives
- Produce timely and thematic research notes and reports to drive internal investment dialogue
- Engage with external policy institutions, think tanks, and market participants to inform internal macro perspectives
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the team’s macro research framework, ensuring rigor and relevance in a dynamic market environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in macro research or strategy, with a particular focus on DM rates
- Strong technical toolkit, including econometric modelling, macro forecasting, and interest rate analytics
- Familiarity with policy institutions, economic history, or international monetary frameworks is advantageous
- Clear ability to synthesise economic signals and market positioning into investment-relevant insights
- Experience supporting traders or investment teams, with the ability to articulate complex macro ideas in a clear, actionable format
- Located in or willing to relocate to Singapore (visa sponsorship available for exceptional candidates)
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute independently in a high-performance environment
