The Global Data Centre Operations Analyst is accountable for the administration and maintenance of the infrastructure and application servers housed within Rentokil Initial's data centers. Responsibilities encompass the operational management of virtual infrastructure, the maintenance of Active Directory integrity, contributing to global service ownership for platforms such as Windows, AD, Azure, Extra ID, Veeam, and vSphere, and conducting backup and disaster recovery testing. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the reliable operation, security, and high availability of services hosted within the global data centers, thereby supporting Rentokil Initial's business operations.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement and reports remotely to the Global Hosting Operations Manager.
Requirements:
Task & Responsibilities
- Operates and manages Virtual (vmware) infrastructure to underpin delivery of the hosted services
- AD Hygiene - Auditing and implementation of IT Best practices. (Removing stale objects, password management controls etc)
- Global Service Ownership (Windows, AD, Azure, Entra ID, Veeam, Zerto, vSphere) - Work with the global service owner to deliver up-to-date heatmaps and implement global standards.
- Ensure proactive measures are taken to ensure the high availability of services.
- Carrying out and facilitating Veeam backup and Zerto disaster recovery tests on key systems as required per schedule
- Driving security standards globally, including remediation of OOS operating systems and infrastructure applications
- Carry out incident management using the Service Now tool.
- Uses system management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carries out agreed system software maintenance tasks.
- Carries out configuration, installation & maintenance of the systems as per the agreed operational procedure. Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution.
Suitable candidates must have good knowledge of some of the following platforms:
- VMware, Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Citrix, Linux (RHEL8,9), Veeam, Zerto
