Job Description
- Consult with clients to determine desired haircuts, styles, and treatments
- Cut, trim, layer, and shape hair according to client requests
- Wash, condition, and treat hair and scalp
- Apply color, highlights, perms, and other chemical treatments
- Style hair using tools such as blow-dryers, straighteners, and curling irons
- Recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and haircare products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon area
- Keep up with current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge
- Provide excellent customer service and build client relationships
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a hairstylist, hairdresser, or similar role
- Knowledge of hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
- Familiarity with haircare products and tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to work standing for long hours
- Professional certification in hairdressing (preferred but not always required)
- Compliance with hygiene and safety standards
