An Interior Design Draftsman creates detailed technical drawings for interior design projects, translating concepts into construction plans using CAD software . They collaborate with designers, architects, and contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Key responsibilities include developing plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models, while also managing drawing files and assisting with presentations.

Job Description:

• Technical Drawing Creation: Produce detailed drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) for interior projects using CAD software like AutoCAD .
• Collaboration: Work closely with interior designers, architects, and other team members to develop design concepts and ensure they are accurately represented in drawings.
• Design Interpretation: Translate design ideas and sketches into technical drawings that can be used for construction or renovation.
• Compliance: Ensure drawings adhere to building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Revision and Updates: Revise and update drawings based on feedback from the design team, clients, or changes in site conditions.
• Project Management: Manage drawing files, organize documentation, and assist with project presentations and timelines.
• Coordination: Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., MEP, structural) to ensure all aspects of the design are integrated correctly.
• Material Specifications: Assist with material schedules, detail drawings, and coordination with suppliers.

Requirements:

• Education: A diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge and experience with CAD software (especially AutoCAD) and potentially 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max).
• Technical Drawing Skills: Excellent understanding of architectural and interior detailing, including plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in creating and revising drawings.
