About The Team
The Trust & Safety Policy team develops, reviews, and implements the policies and processes that underpin our Community Guidelines to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves. As a LIVE Policy Manager, you will work on a product policy team focused on the TikTok LIVE Content Ecosystem team with a mission to develop policies and manage content intervention strategies impacting TikTok LIVE.

You are passionate about user safety, wake up excited to make an impact in millions of people's lives, and switch readily from thinking strategically about policy development and iteration to managing tactical enforcement decisions. Your background and professional expertise are grounded in areas related to internet policy and user safety. You also have experience bringing out the best in your colleagues and fostering a collaborative working style in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.

You will work closely with various internal partners, including other members of Trust & Safety, LIVE Product, and Legal. In addition to policy development and enforcement, you will also support internal teams that identify, triage, and remove violative content across APAC and globally.

What will I be doing?
- You will collaborate closely with Operations, LIVE Product, and different enforcement teams to ensure high-quality, accurate policy enforcement and interpretation for human moderators and machine.
- You will own quality and accuracy goals for the APAC region and conduct proactive and frequent investigations into emerging trends and risks towards improving gaps in policy, process, tooling or enforcement by working with relevant cross-functional partners.
- You will partner with our cross-functional teams to identify and address user safety risks and emerging trends on LIVE in APAC and drive consensus on Trust & Safety policies and principles in managing high-risk events, trends, and crises.
- You will ensure policy guidance and training material for moderation in APAC are updated, operable, and effective.
- You will prepare and present policy-related updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring open communication and consistent alignment with business objectives.
- You will provide policy leadership in handling critical and complex LIVE escalations from internal and external stakeholders for APAC.
