WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Broadcasting high profile, executive-involved events globally, within APAC time zones.
- Communicate with internal clients and partners to plan the broadcast and execute the event.
- Book vendors for closed caption services, utilize EEG encoder for video accessibility.
- Understand and design signal flow which includes backup and redundancy.
- Regularly review internal tickets for requests and schedule meetings, set it up for success.
- Respond to clients’ questions according to the scope of the team’s service.
- Regularly inspect and report changes of the partner platforms to ensure proactivity.
- Capture stream metrics during the live event, report them to the client post-event.
- Develop SOP (standard operating procedure) documentation around all aspects of streaming.
- Coordinate with technical producers and event managers.
- Assist internal customers in vendor sourcing and management (i.e. broadcast facility and live human interpreter bookings).
- Remotely support onsite and off-campus video production teams.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Expertise on Live Producer such as Facebook Live, LinkedIn Live, YouTube Live etc.
- Expertise on the streaming protocols such as RTMP and SRT.
- Experience on hardware encoders (e.g. Makito, Videon, Elemental, LiveU)
- Knowledge on video accessibility such as live closed captions (e.g. EEG HD492)
- Ensure technical success for the live broadcasts.
- Flexible work during weekends or late evenings may be needed.
- Strong cross team communication and collaboration.
- 3+ Years Experience in Live Streaming
- 3+ Years Experience in a Live Event Production Role
- Travel for events when required within the country and internationally.
GOOD TO HAVE:
- Strong understanding of video codecs (e.g. h.264 AVC, h.265 HEVC)
- Strong understanding of complex signal flows and being able to create encoding workflows.
- Strong understanding and experience on AWS cloud services (e.g. MediaConnect, MediaLive, S3, MediaConvert, MediaPackage, MediaTailor, ElasticTranscoder, CloudFront, CloudWatch)
- Experience on Wowza Video Cloud Transcoding, or similar transcoding platforms.
- Experience on cloud based closed captioning. (e.g. Falcon by AI-Media)
- Experience in cloud transcoding video signal and distributing to multiple social media destinations
