Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled Machinery Engineer with expertise in sales, service coordination, and spare parts management for heavy equipment or industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machinery maintenance/repair, enabling them to provide expert advice to clients, diagnose technical issues, and recommend solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machinery Sales:
- Promote and sell new/used construction equipment or industrial machines (specify your focus).
- Conduct product demonstrations, explain technical specifications, operational benefits, and ROI to potential buyers.
- Prepare quotes, negotiate deals, and close sales while meeting targets.
- Build relationships with contractors, farmers, or industrial clients to drive repeat business.
2. Service & Maintenance Coordination:
- Diagnose machinery issues based on customer reports or technician feedback.
- Schedule repairs, maintenance, and inspections, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Provide detailed service estimates and justify repair recommendations.
- Oversaw workshop operations and ensured quality control before equipment handover.
3. Spare Parts Management:
- Identify and source genuine/OEM or compatible aftermarket parts for machinery.
- Advise customers and technicians on part selection, lead times, and warranty terms.
- Manage inventory, track stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Technical Background: Minimum 3+ years of experience in machinery repair, maintenance, or field service (construction/industrial equipment).
- Sales Experience: Prior experience in selling heavy machinery or technical products is a plus.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, or CNC machinery (as relevant).
- Customer Focus: Ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical clients.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., ERP), diagnostic tools, AutoCad or CRM software .
- Certifications: Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Driver’s License: Valid license (may be required for field service roles).
Work Environment:
- Field visits to client sites (shipyard, warehouse, construction sites, etc.).
