About the role
As a Machining Supervisor at Vision One Pte Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the machining department. This is a full-time position based in our Jurong West facility in the West Region. In this critical role, you will ensure the efficient and effective execution of all machining activities to support the company's production goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the machining team, including operators, technicians and engineers
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines
- Monitor machine performance and productivity, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve any machining-related issues or bottlenecks
- Provide technical guidance and support to the machining team
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with other departments to align machining activities with overall business objectives
- Identify and recommend process improvements or investments to enhance efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Machining Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical expertise in CNC machining, including programming, setup and operation
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions
- Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate and develop the team
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and manufacturing systems
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
