Introduction:
We are looking for a motivated candidate to work on the development and enhancement of technology nodes ranging from 130nm to 40nm within a dynamic team of semiconductor development experts.
This position involves activities associated with the development of energy efficient, ultra-low power and ultra-low leakage technologies for emerging products in IoT, Mobile, and RF/5G applications . Selected candidate will work closely with FAB Technology Development teams to understand and align technology requirements, process assumptions, and design rules to provide a unified technology definition . Define technology and electrical design rules. Work with simulation and calculation tools for variation analysis to determine design rule values and margins. The selected candidate will be working on multiple technology nodes and must have a detailed understanding of both planar and 3-D devices.
Your Job:
Develop and provide design manual technology specifications for internal teams and external customers.:
Responsible for Front End of Line (FEOL), Middle of Line (MOL) and Back End of Line (BEOL) design rule development and definition.
Candidates will have to work closely with device and process integration engineers to align technology requirements, process assumptions and design rules to provide a unified technology definition.
Detailed understanding of semiconductor technology process flows is required.
Candidates will be required to use simulation/calculation tools for variation analysis to determine design rule values and margins. Worst case analysis will be required and the candidate will be responsible for integration agreement to these values and the interaction of design rules with logic, analog, and RF design.
The candidate will be required to work with designers, design enablement and device/PCell engineers to develop special requests. The candidate will be expected to drive these topics independently and produce high quality design rule sets with full fail-mode analysis.
The candidate will be expected to have discipline to follow established business processes and procedures, define a process assumption and design rule validation priority list working with GlobalFoundries fab integration team for design rule validation.
Familiarity with design rule challenges from both process and design viewpoints are essential.
The candidate will develop, evaluate, validate and manage the change process associated with design rules and be involved in the early stages of technology definition to define technology requirements and parametric goals in line with GlobalFoundries microprocessor performance roadmap and product offerings.
The candidate will need to have a deep understanding of technology design rules, electrical design rules and reliability contents of the design manual and serve as the interface between external customers, design enablement teams and technology development teams.
A record of innovation for process/design enablement solutions is desired (patents and paper publishing).
The candidate will be expected to work in a dynamic development environment and always strive to improve methodologies and knowledge through innovation.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
