About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network On-Site Engineer (T2) to join our Data Center operations team. This position is ideal for professionals with 1–3 years of experience who are ready to take on greater responsibilities in server and network operations. You will handle moderately complex technical issues, guide junior teammates, and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Standardization & Process Excellence: Apply and maintain operational standards, coordinating resources to resolve moderately difficult technical issues.
- Server Maintenance: Independently locate faults, diagnose and analyze common failure points, replace server components, upgrade firmware, and flash FRU information.
- Linux Administration: Utilize Linux operating system skills, including common CLI commands, and configure BIOS/BMC interfaces effectively.
- Network Operations: Manage common configurations and operations of network devices; troubleshoot, recover, and resolve common network issues.
- Task Ownership: Independently complete moderately complex tasks and assignments with minimal supervision.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Support and coach junior team members in technical skills and process standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate effectively with colleagues and partners, demonstrating problem-solving and management skills in practice.
- Professional Standards: Apply relevant educational training or certifications to uphold technical best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data center, server, or network operations.
- Strong proficiency in Linux OS and CLI commands.
- Experience with server hardware maintenance (diagnostics, component replacement, firmware upgrades).
- Familiarity with network devices and ability to troubleshoot common network issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Linux+, or vendor-specific training).
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians. Familiarity with process standardization and documentation best practices.
