You will be working on the project to enhance Learning Experience through Learner-Centric Programmes and Innovation as a NLB Academy Intern.
[What you will be working on]
1. Innovation and Creativity
- Conduct research and experiment with new tools such as GenAI for learning design.
- Generate innovative ideas to enhance learning experience and streamline processes.
2. Industry Knowledge
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the professional development landscape in Library and Archives domain.
- Assist in researching and compiling of courses on emerging skills for the Library & Archives Specialists.
- Support the creation of a training roadmap to guide capability building in the Library & Archives domain.
3. Project Management and Leadership
- Participate effectively in internal meetings by contributing ideas to training initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a marketing plan to promote Library & Archives programmes.
You will also gain exposure in learning operations, such as:
a. Event Management
- Collaborate with team members to organise and execute professional events.
- Manage event logistics, including coordination with participants and course provider, as well as participant registration.
b. Content Creation and Communication
- Create effective visual aids and infographics to support learning.
[What we are looking for]
1. Research and Analytical Skills for Understanding:
- Ability to gather, synthesise, and analyse information Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
2. Digital Literacy and Creative Skills:
- Proficiency in using common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools (e.g. Canva)
- Basic graphic design abilities for creating infographics and visual aids
- Creative thinking for developing innovative training ideas Ability to present information in engaging and accessible ways
3. Communication, Organisational and Interpersonal Skills:
- Good written communication skills for posts, articles, and reports
- Verbal communication skills for presentations and workshops
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Project management basics Teamwork and collaboration abilities
4. Basic Understanding of Library and Archival Sciences and Technology Awareness
Duration: 12 weeks or longer term preferred.
