[What the role is]We are looking for a meticulous and motivated individual to lead a team of officers in managing full-time diploma admissions, data requests and analysis as well as driving digitalisation initiatives. The candidate should have good understanding of the tertiary education landscape and will also oversee possible integration of processes and data across various functions (such as assessment, admissions, student records) within the department.
[What you will be working on]
[What you will be working on]- Plan and administer admission exercises, including end-to-end admissions process from application review to offer and enrolment
- Process applications in alignment with institutional policies and admission criteria.
- Review existing processes and propose enhancements to manage the admission exercises in a timely and accurate manner
- Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support decision-making processes, including (but not limited to) admissions and course demand trends, and completion rates
- Maintain a strong understanding of the admissions policies and procedures, and work with internal stakeholders and external agencies on the implementation of admission processes
- Manage system enhancements and development, including requirement gathering, user acceptance test and data verification
- Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Identify and implement process improvements through the use of suitable technologies in collaboration with relevant colleagues
[What we are looking for]
- Relevant qualification with at least 5 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years of experience in leading a team
- Prior work experience from another educational institution would be advantageous
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
- High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting
- Possess the following essential skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse data critically and draw meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data handling and reporting.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical skills in data analysis and visualisation tools.
