operation director

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Director to lead and oversee all construction operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, managing site teams, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple construction projects and sites
• Develop and implement strategic plans for project execution and operational excellence
• Supervise project managers, site managers, and engineering teams
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure full compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards (SHQE)
• Lead tender planning, resource planning, and project kickoff meetings
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure smooth project progress
• Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve operational issues promptly
• Establish and enforce SOPs, project workflows, and cost control measures
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to project and site teams
• Regularly report project status and performance to top management
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and cost-efficiency within the operations department

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; a Master's degree is an advantage
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operations or project management role
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects (residential, commercial, or industrial)
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Deep understanding of Singapore building regulations, MOM, BCA, and HDB guidelines
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
• Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and lead diverse teams
• Working day is 6 days per week.
