The Role: Join Our Coaching Team in the West of Singapore
As we expand our reach and work toward becoming a regional footballing powerhouse, we’re inviting energetic, skilled, and value-driven part-time Coaches to be part of our exciting new venue in the West of Singapore.
This position reports directly to the Technical Director and the Operations Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Coaching Responsibilities
- Deliver sessions across Academy programs, including regular training, select teams, school CCAs, holiday camps, tournaments, overseas trips, and events.
- Maintain high-quality coaching standards and lead teams during matches.
- Uphold and enforce the Barça Academy dress code and in-session discipline.
- Provide clear, constructive field instructions and ensure player growth through every session.
- Coach any assigned team per management’s instructions, in alignment with Barça Academy methodology.
- Support and mentor fellow coaches when required.
- Live and promote Barça values: Humility, Effort, Ambition, Respect, and Teamwork.
2. Equipment Management
- Oversee training equipment (balls, markers, bibs, goal posts) and ensure their maintenance.
- Set up and organize equipment before sessions and matches.
- Account for all training material post-session and maintain storage order.
3. Parent Engagement
- Actively engage with parents during and after training.
- Gather feedback and communicate insights to management.
4. Player Development & Welfare
- Take attendance and closely monitor player well-being.
- Instill the Barça values in every player interaction.
- Handle player issues responsibly and escalate when needed.
- Ensure player safety, injury protocols, and emotional well-being are managed.
- Maintain discipline and respect—no profanities or inappropriate conduct tolerated.
- Welcome new and trial players warmly and fairly.
- Promote good sportsmanship and team spirit at all matches and events.
- Assist in distributing and managing kits and gear.
- Coordinate match registrations and manage communications (e.g., WhatsApp groups) with parents and players.
- Proactively alert management about any player exit intentions.
Compensation
This is a paid part-time position. Hourly rate will be agreed upon based on individual proficiency and experience.
