We’re seeking a dynamic experienced engineer to join our team in pioneering submarine power cable infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of transforming power import systems and empowering the future of energy.
What You'll Do:
- Design specifications for submarine power cable according to project requirements, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Review technical proposals and specifications for submarine power cable to ensure compliance with relevant IEC standards and CIGRE guidelines for submarine cable systems.
- Evaluate cable design submissions from OEMs, including conductor sizing, insulation materials, joint configurations, and burial methodologies, ensuring alignment with project requirements and environmental conditions.
- Review marine survey reports to assess soil conditions and inform design decisions related to cable laying and connections to onshore structures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution from design through construction.
- Review and interpret comprehensive engineering reports and documentation for project approvals and stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality assurance protocols.
- Mentor site engineers/staff and provide technical guidance on marine and geotechnical engineering practices.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field to offshore high voltage electrical power engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in marine and offshore engineering, with a focus on submarine power cable installation and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, PLAXIS) and geotechnical analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of local marine regulations and environmental considerations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certification is a plus.
