osition Summary:
We are seeking experienced and passionate English Tutors to join our academic support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching English and a deep understanding of the following curricula:
- AEIS Singapore (Admissions Exercise for International Students)
- Singapore MOE O-Level English
- Cambridge International O-Level & A-Level
- International Baccalaureate (IB) English – MYP & DP
- IELTS Academic/General Training
You will be working closely with students to help them improve their English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as prepare for relevant academic assessments and entry exams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, structured English lessons tailored to individual or small group needs
- Develop customized lesson plans, practice materials, and mock tests for targeted exam preparation
- Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents/guardians
- Support students with essay writing, comprehension techniques, oral communication, and exam strategies
- Monitor and improve students’ academic performance over time
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, student progress, and performance
- Provide guidance on language-related areas such as pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, TESOL, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with international or Singaporean syllabuses
- Familiarity with AEIS, O-Level, A-Level, IB, and IELTS assessment formats and requirements
- Experience working with students from China or non-native English speakers is an advantage
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Patient, culturally sensitive, and passionate about student development
- Able to commit to a consistent teaching schedule (evenings or weekends may be required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MOE or Cambridge-certified teaching credentials
- TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent certifications
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (not mandatory, but beneficial for communication with students/parents)
Compensation:
- Competitive and commensurate with experience
- Hourly or monthly remuneration options available
