Responsibilities:
- Effective and efficient sourcing of primarily C-parts and components
- Support Sales in RFQs
- Stringent vendor management, including vendor evaluation, selection and price negotiations
- Aggressive cost down meeting with vendors and realizing Purchase and Sales
Price Variance targets
- Constant review Inventory status with oversight responsibility over Inventory
Turnover and Targets
- Co-ordinate with vendors / supply issues and take charge in addressing any
vendor related issues
- Anticipate trends in pricing volatility and supply constraints related to the C Parts
and advise action steps to address these concerns
- Undertake procurement / purchasing projects as directed
- Be the key interface between the vendors and internal stakeholders (Purchasing,
QA, Sales etc)
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Business / Purchasing / Procurement or similar discipline
- One (1) to three (3) years of relevant Procurement experience with preference from MNC environment
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract and price negotiations
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications and translate to vendor specifications for review/supply will be advantageous
- Import/Export experience in international trading
- Proficient in Microsoft office program (Excel/Word)
- Knowledge of ERP software and applications
- Knowledge of Inventory Control and Management and ISO Quality Management procedures
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills (written & verbal) in English and Chinese (for communication with Mandarin-speaking vendors)
- Able to work independently and is a good team player
