Your main goal is to explore opportunities in tooling for plastic injection molding and die casting. You’ll study the market, talk to customers, and help shape new business ideas. Key tasks include:
- Researching the tooling industry in Asia-Pacific, especially for plastic injection molding and die casting.
- Studying how design and simulation tools are used in tooling, and how they can be part of voestalpine’s offerings.
- Interviewing customers to understand their needs and future trends.
- Identifying business opportunities for advanced tool steels and engineered products.
- Creating a business plan with market entry strategies and financial models.
- Mapping out regional manufacturing capabilities and technology needs.
- Working closely with our European team to stay aligned with global goals.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading the technical side of the market study.
- Using structured research methods to gather insights from customers.
- Analyzing data and identifying growth opportunities.
- Turning technical findings into practical business ideas.
- Reporting progress monthly and delivering a final roadmap.
- Acting as a bridge between Asia-Pacific and Europe
- Applying your knowledge of voestalpine’s technologies like coatings, surface treatments, and additive manufacturing.
What You Need
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in tooling, molding, casting, or simulation.
- Experience leading innovation projects and customer research.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding and die casting processes.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies like:
- 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing)
- Surface coatings (PVD)
- Laser texturing
- Heat treatment
- Skills in building business models and market strategies.
- Experience working across cultures and countries.
- Ability to speak German is a plus.
Location & Travel
- Based in Singapore with a fixed two-year contract.
- Travel across Asia-Pacific and to Europe will be part of the job.
