RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the Asset Management Department, this position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance asset performance, ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and lifespan of assets. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyse data, identify failure modes, and implement proactive maintenance practices.
- Perform predictive maintenance, including thermographic inspections, dissolved gas analysis (DGA) for transformers, vibration analysis for rotating equipment, and oil analysis for control and lubrication systems.
- Assess, recommend, and implement modifications, upgrades, and installations to optimise equipment reliability, performance, and longevity.
- Perform data analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis to identify potential failures, their impacts, and underlying causes.
- Lead and execute reliability improvement projects, ensuring alignment with plant performance goals.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving reliability goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in Power Generation or Industrial Plant setting.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and committed to operational excellence.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a safety mindset and display good workplace safety behaviour.
- Be a part of the CERT team and be actively involved in emergency responses whenever called upon.
