The Institute for Digital Analytics and Science, IDMxS, is a unique interdisciplinary Singapore Research Center of Excellence (RCE) funded by the Singapore Ministry of Education, Nanyang Technological University, NTU, and National University of Singapore, NUS, and hosted by NTU.
IDMxS is focused on development of core science to drive a paradigm shift in molecular detection and analysis to link the biomolecular world of life with the networked world of technology. IDMxS seeks to expand such capabilities to include health information, such as viral infection or molecular signatures of disease, and environmental information including air and water quality. To obtain this information requires the ability to detect, identify, and quantify specific molecules. The IDMxS strategy addresses this challenge with an approach rooted in physical science and the emerging field of digital molecular analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute research on hybrid photonic materials including rare-earth-doped systems, metal-organic frameworks, and perovskitoid microstructures.
Develop materials platforms for long-persistent luminescence and NIR-II emission applications, with potential use in information photonics and bioimaging.
Investigate quantum effects and entangled photon-driven processes in photochemistry, in collaboration with internal and external research groups.
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and coordinate collaborative projects across multidisciplinary teams.
Prepare high-impact publications, patents, and reports; contribute to grant writing and project development.
Present findings at international conferences and stakeholder meetings.
Job Requirements:
PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field with strong publication record (e.g., Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater., Matter, J. Phys. Chem. Lett.).
Demonstrated expertise in photoluminescent materials, ultralong afterglow systems, or optical hybrid crystals.
Experience with structural characterization techniques (XRD, SEM/TEM), photophysical analyses (PL, TCSPC), and optical waveguide studies.
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
