The Translational Materials Innovation Group, led by Professor Nam-Joon Cho, has world-leading expertise in multiple research areas, such as membrane-active compounds, antibacterial and antiviral applications, plant-based bio-material applications, etc. We are looking to hire a Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary objective will be plan, monitor, and perform experiments within the scope of the assigned research project. Additional duties may include training of and collaboration with research staff and students. Job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Collect and prepare data/ information/ proposal required for research-related grant call process
- Conduct experiments related to lipids and sporopollenin-based drug delivery
- Conduct interpretation and application of experimental results
- Gather information/ data and prepare documents for reporting/ papers
- Assist in and deliver training and coaching new members with relevant laboratory/ technical skills
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering/Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
- Strong experimental skills, especially proficient in functional materials fabrication, fabrication of micro/nanoparticles, functionalizing biocompatible materials, and associated methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills while hard-working and able to meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently in gathering information/ data and prepare documents for reporting/ papers
- Willing to contribute team services like sharing/ coaching new members with relevant laboratory/ technical skills
